PostSubject: Make Sony HDR-CX740 1080 50p MTS editable for Premiere Pro   Mon Aug 13, 2012 8:15 pm

From googling, we found Sony HDR-CX740/CX740VE users often met the trouble they can't import CX740 MTS files to Adobe Premiere Pro for editing. Why? Sony HDR-CX740 is an excellent recorder that can help you record vivid HD movies in AVCHD. The AVCHD recording mode gives up 1920 x 1080 HD footage of very high quality, but unfortunately Adobe Premiere Pro does not support full import of 1080/50p .mts files, this is due to the format and codec. AVCHD MTS is a delivery codec rather than editing codec. It may cause problems when you want to import Sony CX740 AVCHD to Premiere, like import it slowly, and couldn't edit videos smoothly.

If we want to make Sony HDR-CX740 1080 50p MTS editable, we have to encode AVCHD to the native format MEPG-2 for Adobe Premiere. Here I show you the best MTS to Premiere Converter to you. It is an easy-to-use Converter tool. I have successfully used it to help me transcode many 1080 50p AVCHD .mts/.m2ts recordings to Premiere. It works fast with its NVIDIA CUDA & AMD APP(ATI Stream) technologies. The most important is that the converted video quality is perfect.

How to transfer Sony HDR-CX740 AVCHD footages into Adobe Premiere for editing smoothly

Step 1: Free download and run the AVCHD to Premiere Converter and import Sony AVCHD .mts/.m2ts files to the program.

Step 2: Click format bar to choose output format for Premiere, here Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas > MPEG-2 (*.mpg) is highly recommended.

Step 3: Start to convert Sony HDR-CX740 MTS to MPEG for Adobe Premiere Pro via taping the Convert button.

After conversion completes, you can easily handle Sony HDR-CX740 AVCHD in Adobe Premiere for smoothly editing as you want.

1. If you want to join your AVCHD clips for easy editing, please tick the "Merge into one" box.
2. To adjust video and audio parameters, including video and audio bitrate, codec, frame rate, video size, channels, etc, please click the Settings button on the main interface.
3. If you shot videos in 50i mode, you can deinterlace Sony 1080i AVCHD via ticking the “Deinterlacing” box in the Video Editor interface.
